(I’m actually not that lucky with Secret and my bias :( I ALWAYS get Sunhwa’s stuff like… always. And when i don’t it’s Jieun’s or Hyo, but i never got Hana’s, what are the odds? I even got Hoya’s more than once on Infinite’s albuns and there are seven duded on the band. Ok, i got her GPS card on my signed edition of Secret Summer, WOW.)
Yeeeah, i can barely keep up x___x SHINee right now is releasing even more stuff in Japan than Girls Generation and their japanese stuff is expensive! For God’s Sake, they’ll perform in Tokyo Dome! I guess they’re the most active group from SM in Japan now. It’s not like they’re doing nothing, last year they realeased a full japanese CD, a bunch of singles and went touring. Beside that, there’s also a new japanese single to be released this year and Taemin’s and JongHyun’s solos debut, there’s really a bunch of stuff. Besides, i really enjoyed their last japanese album, it’s my favorite.SHINee’s crazy talented but they were left on the back burner, and I’ll never understand why. Their songs are good, some talented singers, crazy choreography that they’re able to do. I don’t undestand why they only show up once in a blue moon.
Let me break this down for you so you won’t feel “once in a blue moon”
An average normal SM group gets one comeback each year! TVXQ and SuJu do this with full albums, while f(x) sometimes gets mini albums but only that in that year.
The favourites SNSD and Exo gets more (in snsd’s case it should be past tense… because they do Japanese promotions now)
Let’s see how SHINee got them through the years.

2010: 1 comeback + repackage
2011: -
2012: 1 comeback
2013: 3 comebacks + repackage
2014: -
And when they miss out on a year there is not more than 1.5 year between two promotions.
And when they “didn’t do anything” they were actually in Japan releasing a TONS of stuff there.
So just because you don’t consider their new Japanese music “new music”
It doesn’t mean they do stuff only once in a blue moon
I’m pretty sure if you ask Shawols who actually collect their stuff they’d look at you as are you crazy, “we can barely keep up…”
Actually with only one year more compared to f(x) they got at least twice as much stuff only in Korea
So i wouldn’t really say they are wasted, they work hard all the time.
Or i guess you’re just used to the small company things who try to push their idols everywhere because that’s the only way they might get popular.
ACTUALLY the NORMAL thing is to do one full album each year and between the two do a tour. But the new groups don’t do this anymore.
